Every successful business has a story. Mine began over 30 years ago when I returned home to Australia with my wife and young family after living for several years in Southern Germany. As an electronics engineer with a passion for innovation, I decided to launch an import/wholesale business in Sydney. Our focus? Bringing cutting-edge medical imaging technology from suppliers across the globe to the Australian market.
The equipment we imported wasn’t cheap. With price tags ranging from $20,000 to $600,000, we sold to professional clients like radiology clinics, dental surgeons, veterinary surgeons, and hospitals. Our customers were clinically trained and experts in their field but not always experienced business operators. Many of them were straight out of university and starting their first business was a daunting challenge. With such expensive investments required to set up their practices, these clinicians often found it necessary to rely on our team, as industry experts, to help them understand the clinical & business benefits of the technology we were offering.

We participated in multiple trade conferences each year for over 27 years and quickly understood that generating sales was a combination of face-to-face relationship building along with utilizing technology to understand when customers were ready to buy.
Convincing our clients of the clinical value and business profitability of our equipment was always one of our biggest challenges. These were highly educated buyers who needed more than just flashy sales pitches. By then however, my desire to create a fully functional ROI platform was firmly embedded in the back of my mind.

We started Verge Technologies in 2024 to develop the ROI Calculator platform and have been busy since then working with industry and clinical leaders to come up with a powerful platform that can be useful to all stakeholders. Ripple-ROI has now evolved into a powerful lead generation tool, utilising smart, engaging widgets that can be embedded on various companies’ product web pages. These widgets don’t just attract leads; they educate clients by providing them with personalised ROI data.
